You can register throughout the year to attend an on-campus information session and tour. 与此同时, we encourage you to check out our online visit opportunities to engage remotely with our current students and staff.

Yes, we require guests attending student-led tours to register. Please give us several days’ 不ice when requesting a visit on campus. While every effort is made to accommodate visit requests, high volume means that we can不 guarantee availability to any campus visit activities without an appointment.

参观校园会发生什么?

A campus visit can include an information session with an admission representative and a tour of our main campus with Centre students. During the academic year, campus tours are led by a current student. However, during school breaks, your tour may be led by an admission counselor. Tours give you the opportunity to see a typical dorm, 餐厅, 图书馆, 还有学术建筑.

In addition to the tour and information sessions, high school seniors can request to meet with a faculty member or athletic coach, 参加课程, or interview with an 入学 Representative.

On the day of my visit, how early do I need to arrive?

Please check-in 10-15 minutes before the event time.

You do 不 need a parking pass if you park in one of our designated guest parking lots. 看到我们的 校园地图 对的位置. Our guest parking lots are located on the corner of Maple Avenue & 主要街道 (127 Maple Ave) and behind the Norton Center of the Arts (300 S. 大学街).

We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

What should I bring with me to a campus visit?

You should bring something to write with and a list of questions you want to have answered.

How long is the campus tour, and how much walking will I do?

校园 tours last between 75-90 minutes, with an additional 30-minute information session. If you would like to participate in additional events, 比如面试或上课, please plan on spending half a day on campus.

If you need special accommodations, please 不e that on your tour registration.

Yes, restrooms are available at the beginning of the tour and along the tour route.

Tours will still take place in the rain, so please dress accordingly. We will text you if weather conditions become too dangerous to offer a tour.

Most tours during the academic year will offer a dorm room tour. 

我能去看看食堂吗?

Yes, lunch in 餐厅 is made available for guests who attend a morning session.

We cap our tours at no more than 15 families. Upwards of 40-50 people could be on your tour. 

May I visit on my own, or do I need to have a parent/guardian with me?

A school excuse will be automatically emailed to you after you have attended your visit.

The Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn Express in Danville both offer a 10% discount when you mention that you’re in town to visit Centre. The discount is best secured by calling the hotels directly to make the reservation, 而不是在网上预订.

Should I request an interview if I’m 不 a high school senior?

We only offer interviews to high school seniors. Interviews are 不 a required piece of the application to Centre College, but they give you the opportunity to meet with an admission representative one-on-one and can lend a more personal touch to your application profile.

An interview is a one-on-one conversation between you and your parent/guardian, 还有我们的一位招生顾问. It gives the counselor a chance to learn about you and your interests, and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about Centre or the application process. 

When admission counselors are traveling or we have a higher volume of visitors, you may be placed into a small group interview with a few other families. We will do our best to provide a one-on-one meeting when possible.
